Completion Criteria:
Section titled “Completion Criteria:”The alarm system for the Poway centrexIT office will automatically arm itself every evening at 7:00 PM and will continue to be armed unless you deactivate it.
Every employee that needs access to the building will be assigned a unique, four-digit pin number in order to disable the alarm.
There are 2 alarm panels in the office. Front door entrance, behind the reception desk. Warehouse entrance, on the wall to your right. When entering the building, check one of the alarm panels. Green lights at the top show it is disarmed. Red lights show it is armed. If the alarm is active, you have 45 seconds to disarm it after entering the building. There is a countdown timer.
To Disarm the Alarm- Tap the display panel, tap the lock symbol on the screen, and input your provided pin number using the onscreen keypad. If the alarm goes off, immediately enter your pin and turn it off. If done quick enough it will cancel it. Make sure you immediately call Mike Hicks at 760-458-8906 and let him know the alarm is off and to cancel any response. If the alarm goes off and your pin is not working, immediately call Mike Hicks at 760-458-8906. He can remotely turn off the alarm. His phone number is also listed above the alarm panel. Note, the alarm sound is very loud and disorientating so step away from the panel to call.
If you do not call Mike Hicks when the alarm is triggered, he will not disable it and clear the alert and the police will be dispatched to the office.
To Arm the Alarm- If you disarm the alarm during non-business hours, you must arm it when you leave. Tap the display panel, tap the lock symbol on the screen, tap the red lock icon Arm & Away. You will have 60 seconds to exit the building.
Hostage Situation Silent Alarm- If you are involved in a situation where someone is forcing you to disarm the alarm system, DO NOT input your pin number. Rather, input 9998 on the keypad. The alarm will be silenced, and the police will immediately receive an alert that you are involved in a hostage situation.
If you need access to the Poway office and have not been issued a pin number, please let Christie Zayac or Mike Hicks know and one will be assigned to you.

Steps:
Section titled “Steps:”1. To Disarm the Alarm- Tap the display panel, tap the lock symbol on the screen, and input the pin number you have been provided using the onscreen keypad. You have 45 seconds to input your pin number before the alarm goes off.
2. To Arm the Alarm when leaving- Tap the display panel, tap the lock symbol on the screen, choose the red lock icon that says Arm Away on the panel. You will have 60 seconds to exit the building. If you forget something you can add an additional 60 seconds using the option on the display while it is counting down. Verify all exterior doors are shut before activating the alarm.
3. To Arm the Alarm while working in the office- If you are alone in the office and want to arm only the external doors, tap the display panel, tap the lock symbol on the screen, choose the orange lock icon that says Arm Stay on the panel. This will turn on only the door sensors. Ensure you disarm the system using step 1 before opening any doors. Re-arm using step 2 when leaving.
4. To Activate the Silent Alarm for Hostage or Criminal Situations- Tap the display panel, tap the lock symbol on the screen, and input pin number 9998. The alarm will be silenced, and the police will immediately be dispatched.
Reminder, the alarm system will automatically arm itself every evening at 7:00 pm.
If you set off the alarm, immediately call Mike Hicks at 760-458-8906.
