All client initiatives not tracked in Halo should be tracked on the client’s planner in teams.

Planner tasks in client teams spaces or tasks.office.com.

  1. All client tasks and initiatives not found in other Halo work types should be kept and tracked in Microsoft Planner.
  2. Planner for each client can be found by going to the “client - client name” team space in microsoft teams, going to the general channel and look for “client name/acronym - Initiatives” tab in that space.
  3. A task item should be created for any client initiative that is not being tracked in Halo in either projects, project requests, simple requests, incidents, or other Halo work types.
  4. To create a task, open the client planner, add the task to an appropriate bucket and assign the appropriate assignee for the work to be done.
  5. If any of the above is uncertain or if you are unsure the assignee or bucket, work with the client vITM or vCIO to properly categorize, assign, and update the planner task item.
  6. Work the task to completion. If the task is then transfered to Halo as a Halo work item, please make sure to note the ticket number when closing the planner task.
  7. If a planner task is generated from a Halo ticket, make sure to note the Halo ticket in the planner task.
