Purpose:
Section titled “Purpose:”Halo ncentral schema must be setup to enable the CI / CMDB device sync from ncentral and to map the devices to the correct Halo client.
Scope:
Section titled “Scope:”Onboarding Team will need to ensure this schema is setup during onboarding and is requried to import CMDB items into Halo.
Responsibility:
Section titled “Responsibility:”Senior IT manager and NOC Manager
Completion Criteria:
Section titled “Completion Criteria:”Schema is setup and items import from ncentral into the Halo CMDB on the next Halo / Ncentral sync.
Records:
Section titled “Records:”CMDB items will poplulate from ncentral into Halo CMDB. Schema config resides on company page.
Steps:
Section titled “Steps:”- Client must be first setup in ncentral. Ncentral customer ID code will be provided by NOC team during onboarding and prior to setting up this schema.
- This code can be located by going to ncentral, administration, customers, then looking up the Access code assocaited with the correct customer.
- Once ncentral client number is known, go to companies and select the company from the list of acitve clients.
- On the Company info page, look for the schemas in the upper right corner and select the ”+” symbol
- Select the ncentral schema from the list
- in the next window enter the ncentral customer ID code in the appropriate box labled n-central customer ID. Other boxes are left blank.
- save and close.
- check after 24 hours to verify devices in ncentral match imported devices in client CMDB.
