User Offboarding

  1. Log onto M365
  2. Remove the user from all groups from the User’s properties in M365 (default group cannot be removed)
  3. *Please note in your ticket notes what groups are removed
  4. Go into Entra and remove / disassociate mobile phone access
  5. Force log out on all sessions in M365
  6. Blocked sign in to M365
  7. Reset password.
  8. Set Out-of-Office message per offboarding form.
  9. Move OneDrive files to User Archive in Sharepoint. https://cfed.sharepoint.com/sites/UserArchives/default.aspx Give access to specified in request
  10. Convert the mailbox to a shared mailbox and grant full access to whoever needs the access
  11. After converted to shared, remove M365 licenses.
  12. After 15 minutes check if the user was moved to deleted users. If there are restore user.
  13. Check users applications in Entra and remove them from any applications
  14. Update requestor. If you are in direct contact with departing user and they are remote you can provide Fedex account code – 1128 6748 1
