- IMPORTANT: New versions are installed locally on GPWAPPS and a Public Desktop Shortcut is created for the listed sessions hosts.

Steps:
Section titled “Steps:”- Follow the link provided in the request (user usually forwards the email to intake, example below)
- Fill out requested information in the notes of the CFS Tax Software account (Reference Requirements)
- Find the “Payroll System” download for the requested year and click Download
- Login to GPWAPPS via Screenconnect or NCentral and download and install the app locally and run installer as Admin

- IMPORTANT: Installation destination should be
C:\CFSLIb(Reference Completion Criteria) - IMPORTANT: If you get a pop-up that the default path is -not- the default click Yes!
- Next
- After install click OK to confirm license information
- Click Add User, name it cIT (this will let you open the software to import last year’s data)
- Click No on any pop-up you get
- Click Utilities > Import 20XX Clients/Payees/Preparers/Labels…
- Make sure Import From: is from the previous year’s data directory
- Click Select All
- Click Finish
- Click Yes
- Take a screenshot of the Import Results and share with client.
- Click Yes to allow automatic updates
- Remove current Public Desktop Shortcut and add new year’s version on the following session hosts
