The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how users can access and navigate through the Align tool to track progress on initiatives, priorities, and key results. The primary purpose of the tool is to ensure the organization has visibility into the annual progress being made and to encourage accountability.

The scope of Align crosses the entire organization. There will be owners of data; however, all employees will have access to view the progress and to potentially use huddle spaces for team and 1:1 meetings.

It is the responsibility of all priority and task owners to maintain data accuracy. It is the responsibility of all end users to not alter any of the initiatives, priorities, tasks, or critical numbers without approval from the owner.

All centrexIT employees will have access to the tool and instructions on how to navigate through it.

There are no records to be stored.

  • Best practice: bookmark the Align homepage Align Home
  1. Click the link and open (Authentication is required during first use, and then again every two weeks)
  • This opens your “My Dashboard”

Going down the left navigation: 2. “My Dashboard” can only be seen by the user and can be used to monitor critical numbers and any assigned KPIs 3. “Company Dashboard” is used to display company critical numbers, any announcement notes, and the also gives a visual representation of how the team is trending to priorities in the quarter 4. “Annual Iniatives” is used for tracking the 2-3 primary initiatives for the year

  • An initiative is a strategic goal cIT works towards during the calendar year

  • This page should be viewed only. Do not click, add, or remove any data from this page.

  1. “Priorities” is where activities are captured that support achieving annual or team initiatives
  • Any priority that is marked with the “Company Prioirity” tag should only be altered by Strategy or the priority owner

  • Progress reported here is visible on the “Company Dashboard”

  1. “Daily Huddles” a huddle can be used as a space for a daily team meeting, especially when the team has KPIs or metrics that are being worked
  • Click the slide out arrow and select your huddle from the dropdown
  1. “Other Huddles” are spaces that can be used for other recurring meetings aside from daily meetings
  • Click the slide out arrow and select your huddle from the dropdown
  1. “Tasks” are a list of tasks or action items that have been assigned to a user to complete. They are the actionable steps found in a priority that feed up to the inititative
  • From this page, you can add a new task, add a note to a task, star a task as a priority, or mark as complete

  • Please do not delete a task associated with a priority you do not own. Check with the owner.

  1. “Top Priority Calendar” will show your starred top tasks in a calendar view
  • Click the star icon on the Tasks page to add to the calendar
  1. The remaining pages are still being developed
  • Align is still newer technology being developed which means pages, spaces, or permissions are subject to change

Going across the top menu:

  1. “Strategy” dropdown displays options available to the user to view the One Page Stategic Plan and vision for the company. The annual initiatives and priorities support the strategy and vision
  • As Align improves permissions grouping, other pages will be visible to all users
  1. “Reports” is a list of reports that can be used to look at progress across the platform
