A message template is used in a chat box. It is very useful if there are repeated messages that would be easier to use pre-written rather than retyped.

Use these templates in any Normal chat box. These commands do not work inside the Advanced chat box. They can be accessed by typing the following commands in the chat:

  • /template OR /t -> Brings up template picker -> Select your template -> Send in chat (Three steps)

  • /t code -> Brings up template picker with template already selected by code -> Send in chat (Two steps)

  • /t! code -> Grabs template by code and sends in chat (One step)

Additional notes:

  • /t is shorthand for /template

  • Square brackets [ ] can be omitted. Try /t notes inside a chat box.

  • Comments entered into template picker window will not be saved. See video for demonstration of this behavior. To view and edit Message Templates, navigate to: Administration -> Message templates (in Communications tile).
