Document Objective

The purpose of this document is to provide Centrex an updated M365 Hardening guide that meets current information security guidelines for best practices across the industry and Microsoft. This document was designed to meet the needs of Centrex by standardizing configurations and settings across the company when deploying a “M365 Hardening” for our various customers. This document and its settings best reflect current suggestions and recommendations as of March 2022 and should be updated annually when changes in methods or configurations need to be updated to match newer standards

How to Use this Document: This document covers all basic configurations required to complete a M365 Hardening Project. Each section defines what level of access is required to complete a specific task and includes links and/or references to any relevant supplementary materials and information someone would need to complete the task. 

References and/or Definitions. References are included in this document in the relevant sections. A Glossary of Terms has been included to define key terms and acronyms that might be unfamiliar to less experienced users.
