NAMG – WI – User Onboarding
- Log onto Domain Control (NAMGS1)
- Create new user according to IT Spec form in the correct OU.
- Email/Username standard (firstinitiallastname@nephrologyamg.com)
- Set password so you can log in as user later. (do not prompt to change at first log in YET)
- Fill General, Account, Profile, Organization, and Attribute tabs with provided information on IT Spec form. Leave blank if information is missing.
- Make sure you add SMTP:tuser@nephrologyamg.com under proxy address
- and smtp:@namg.net
- Add new user to requested AD security groups and distros according to onboard form. 365=cloud, AD=Active Directory in DC
- Run a Delta Sync in PowerShell: Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta
- Log onto M365 as global admin.
- Search for new user in active users and assign a license according to onboarding form. Business Premium is the default. Check with end user if not specified.
- Add short email alias. (namg.net) Nephrologyamg.com should be primary SMTP and username
- Add the user to M365 distribution groups according to the onboarding form.
- No matter what the spec form says add the user to the “ALL@NAMG.NET” DL
- follow KB KB00035883 to set user up in Verve E Fax
- Give user “Publishing Editor” permissions to eFax public folders as requested on the onboarding form. Public folders can be found in the EAC.
- Log onto a device as the new user.
- Make sure specific printer is connected according to onboard form.
- Sign into Outlook and Sync Outlook email.
- Add requested eFax Public Folder to Favorites.
- Athena shortcut to desktop.
- Set up scan-to folder according to the WI KB00001198
- Set up VPN profile https://namg.centrexcloud.com
- Pin Office all apps to taskbar and unpin built in mail and store app.
- Sign out as new user.
- Go back to domain controller and set PW for new user. Set to prompt user for change on first login.
- Send to QC.
- After QC is complete, send creds and any tracking information via encrypted email.
