PROCEDURE

Please follow these instructions to successfully onboard a new kpe employee. cIT will receive an onboarding request form from a client POC to initialize and authorize this process.

  • Current authorized POCs: Congetta Gregg, Jessica Walker, or Rebbeca Castelloe

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1Password > KP Environmental > M365 Admin Account

STEPS

  1. Login to the M365 portal using the kpe M365 Admin Account
  2. Check available licensing
  3. The Client is utilizing M365 Business Premium
  4. If there is no a license please contact the Procurement Team to get a license added to the tenant. Before moving forward with creating the new account.
  5. Under Users > Click Active users
  6. Click Add a user
  7. _
  8. Put in all the required information for the user account provided on the onboarding form
  9. Frist Name\Last Name\Display Name
  10. UPN/Username Requirement: [first_intial][last_name]@ (UPN Standard)
  1. This should match what is listed in the field on the form “0365 Username”.
  2. Check all 3 boxes
  • Automatically create a password

  • Require the user to change their password when they first sign in

  • Send password in email upon completion (send to the POC who put in the ticket)

  2. Click Next
  3. License the users account with a M365 Business Premium license
  4. Once the account is licensed click Next
  5. Put in the required information for the account based on the onboarding form:
  • Office phone

  • Department Fax number

  • Mobile number

  • Job Title

  • Department

  • Contact number

  1. Click Next, and review all the setting for the new user account, and verify all requirements are correct
  2. Once reviewed click Finish adding Check generate random password
  3. Add user to request groups
  4. IMPORTANT: The Bullphish cybersecurity group is now a Dynamic Group. User will be added to the Group within 24hrs. (Group applies to all Active Users with a Business Premium License)
  5. Head to https://admin.office.com to add the user to the Impersonation Protection plan
  • Click on Security

  • Click on Policies and Rules

  • Click on Threat Policies

  • Click on Anti-Phishing

  • Click on the Office365 AntiPhish (Default)

  • Click on Edit Protection Settings

  • Click on Manage Sender(s)

  • Add the user to the list using full name and email address

  1. Work with POC(s) listed in the ticket to access the computer for New User setup
