*Expiring document but keeping it for reference for now until new onboarding procedures for both Adstra & Belardi Wong are approved*
Create user in Active Directory.
- Make a copy of an assigned buddy’s account. Modify fields as necessary.
- Email field should be populated with username as the alias. Example: Bob Smith would have an initial email address of bsmith@alc.com. Allow time for changes to be replicated to Office 365 environment. Replication can be forced manually as long as Active Directory information is currently on CLDC1 (see Office 365/AD Sync Documentation)
Email/Office 365
- Log into Office 365 portal as an administrator.
- Search for user’s account in Office 365 and assign E3 license along with any other required licenses (Visio,Project,etc.).
- Assign to necessary groups.
- Geographic region of U.S. should dictate which ALC office group member belongs to. By default, ALC Princeton is used if user is primarily a remote user.
Create network home drive
- Log into appropriate file server (CLFS, CLFS02, TARRYDC).
- Navigate to USERS directory.
- Create share for new user using same naming convention as the AD username.
- Share folder as a hidden share and adjust permissions.
Adjust email field in Active Directory properties to be standard format for employees (firstname.lastname@alc.com).
