P21 Printing - When attempting to print invoices from P21, user receives error

To Fix: go to \\rcpsan-b\P21\ (R:\forms on user PCs) & rename “forms” folder to forms_date, then create new folder called “forms” – when this gets corrupted or fills up to a certain point cannot write to it anymore and subsequently cannot print anything from P21

Error 35 is caused by the P21 drive not showing as connected (red x), just have user click on shared network drive and relaunch epicore.

Enable P21 account from Active Directory :

Find New User’s AD Account 

From folder (not find results) > Right-Click choose P21 AD Integration > Fill in Account fields based on info from Spec form

Common Challenges with P21

  • Business Rule DLL Folder does not exist on this machine.
  • This Error Normally occurs while users are working remote.
  • Working remotely on VPN – When working remotely through the VPN the user will experience the following issues unless the R drive has been opened:
  •  Dynachange Business Rules will not execute (e.g. phone number formatting, sales tax warnings, map page formatting, remittance warnings, etc.)
  • Dynachange Portals will not open
  • User defined tabs will not open and you’ll receive a Dynachange error
  • P21 default, non-modified, forms will print or display in print preview
  • User may receive the following error(s), or various others, related to business rules folder not being setup on their computer (if the error contains these keywords try opening the R drive: “rule”, “business rule”, “Dynachange”, “portal”, “screen designer”, “forms”)
  • The proper sequence for logging onto P21 via the VPN is below:
  •  Log onto the VPN
  • Open the R drive (and minimize it)
  • Log onto P21
  •  Lose of connection to RCP-SQL
  • If for any reason there is a momentary break in the connection to RCP-SQL the user will receive hundreds of SQL errors. Usually the first error is a SQL 999 error. If the User has access to the Task Manager they can launch it and End Task on Epicor Prophet 21. If they are on Citrix they cannot access the Task Manager and may need help from the Help Desk to exit the stream of error messages.
  • Barcode not printing
  • Reasons for barcode font not printing (asterisks and numbers printing instead)
  •  The R drive is not open and the default, non-modified, P21 forms are printing from the default forms installed on the C drive
  • The 3 OF 9 barcode has not been installed on the machine H:\Install\Epicor\Fonts\3OF9_NEW_0.TTF
  •  Rules not working
  •  Make sure the R drive is open
  •  Forms printing incorrectly
  •  Make sure the R drive is open
  •  Citrix computers running slowly
  •  Check load balancing between XEN 3 and XEN 4
  •  New computer cannot process Credit Card transactions
  • Make sure Epicor EPayments has been installed and is on the correct version
