PROCEDURE This is the procedure to reset the voicemail PIN for the Polycom desk phones. This is performed on the Cox portal site.
REQUIREMENTS
Credentials for the Cox portal site, which are found in PWState under Voice -> Cox voice console.
STEPS
Note: If the user hasn’t set up their voicemail before, the default COX PIN is 269266. However, if this PIN doesn’t work or they don’t know the current PIN, please proceed with the steps below.
1. Go to https://myaccount.coxbusiness.com/cbma/unauth/login.
2. Use the credentials in 1Password for Cox voice console (found on the Voice page).
3. On the Home page, click on “Switch User”.
4. Change it to the user you want to reset the voicemail PIN for from the drop-down.
5. After this, click the “Switch User” box. This will enable you to have access to this user’s phone settings under their profile.
6.Scroll Down to My Services. On the “Voice” page, click on “Voice Mail Tools”.
7. On the page that opens, click “Mailbox PIN Code”.
8. Reset the PIN, re-enter it to confirm, and then click Save.
