The purpose of process management is to organize process mapping and documentation needed to support all business activities. It serves as a tool to help identify inefficiencies and waste, as well as gaps and bottlenecks that need to be corrected.


Process management affects all employees and contractors within all areas of the company. A process should be designed to capture all inputs, outputs, process steps, measurements of success, time needed to perform, and all resources needed to successfully start and complete the process.

  2. Process Owner - solely responsible for owning a process, accountable for designing and managing to an effective and efficient process that produces the desired results or outcome.
